Brand Ambassador Fits in School Visit between Competitions

This Monday BanaBay Brand Ambassador Mike Edwards visited Queen Victoria Primary School in Dudley to give children an insight into how an athlete trains for competitions.

He certainly has a way with the little ones instructing them on how to get the best ‘high knees’, the importance of posture and holding the body in the right way.

He also handed out some BanaBay bananas to share around for that all important energy boost and showed off his silver medal won at the British Championships in early July.

Mike was fresh from weekend success in the British Athletics Jumps & Throws Fest on Sunday 19^th July where he achieved a personal best clearing 2.25m in the high jump – an impressive 5cm hike on his outdoor best and 3cm above his indoor best.

After coaching the school children all day Mike is Off to Sweden on Tuesday to compete in the Karlstad Grand Prix.
